Shri Harsh Vardhan Shringla Celebrates Durga Puja in Siliguri; Highlights GST Bachat Utsav and PM Modi’s Vision for Atmanirbhar Bharat

West Bengal: Shri Harsh Vardhan Shringla celebrated Durga Puja with devotion and community spirit, joining festivities enriched by GST Bachat Utsav, Seva Parv, promotion of Swadeshi goods under Atmanirbhar Bharat, and the unique Operation Sindoor-themed pandals.

At Phasidewa, Shri Shringla, along with MLA Durga Murmu, offered prayers at the Puja mandap, where he lauded the Government’s initiative under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji to reduce GST rates, calling it a bold, welfare-driven reform that directly benefits families in the festive season. He also emphasized that Atmanirbhar Bharat, strengthened by Swadeshi products and the call for Vocal for Local, is a collective mission of the people.

Linking the celebrations with Seva Parv, Shri Shringla visited North Bengal Medical College and Hospital accompanied by MLA Durga Murmu of Phasidewa and MLA Anandamoy Barman of Naxalbari. Together, they met patients and health warriors, congratulated thern for their tireless service, and distributed nutritious items in the festive season as a goodwill gesture under the spirit of Seva Parv.
He also announced Rozgar Mela 2 under the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana, which will bring top companies to North Bengal to connect local youth with employment opportunities.
At both the Puja mandap and the hospital, party karyakartas played a vital role, ensuring smooth organization and extending support to the community.
Shri Shringla reiterated: “GST relief, Atmanirbhar Bharat through Swadeshi goods, Seva Parv, and Rozgar Mela 2 reflect the new India being built under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji.”
